Hello
Here is a frequent question I get asked by people, I don't know why they assume
I know this stuffs, but, well I have to hit the internet to know about this, and
if you are new to doing part-time biz online.
The postcode question.
I get this question a lot whenever am filling a form online or trying to register
on a digital platform, they do ask for my Nigerian postcode, and I honestly
thought they are asking or usually think it is the post office box number. 😕😕
And my registration always gets denied. The next thing is that I check my mail to
see that I have been rejected due to the Postcode; so I have to do some
digging and findings, so let me just take a moment to explain it.
1. All locations in Nigeria is broken down into categories and to locate your postcode,
just find a location that is CLOSEST to your address and use that.
Use NIPOST (Nigerian Postal Service) official website to do this.
When you get to the site, find the 'Find A Post Code' link which should take you to the NIPOST postcode finder here:
http://www.nigeriapostcode.com.ng/
Next, choose one of 3 search categories.
1. Urban location
2. Rural location
3. Postal facility
If you try searching for your location in urban and you cannot find it, try rural locations
and if that does not work, try Postal Facilities.
Next, select your state, pick down and drill down to your street (or street closest to you) and get the postcode.
That is how to figure out the postcode with which to register online for Payoneer, paypal etc,
and other registrations that ask you for your postcode.
Finish.
Enjoy today!
